“You are pretty.”

That’s the fortune cookie I received on a debate trip in high school.

It’s kind, indeed, but not a “fortune.”

My husband turned 28 on November 18. Since he was able to take the day off and rest at home, I decided to arrange a birthday scavenger hunt for him.

One of my friends at work had made paper fortune cookies, and I thought it was a cute idea! So, these little cookies were the “clues” that led Jay to each of his presents. I thought they were precious.

With the Christmas season quickly approaching, I’ve been thinking about what presents to buy/make. I’m sure the next couple of days will filled with online present searching. Right now, I’m developing my “Black Friday” strategy.

Any of you planning to brave the most hectic shopping day of the year? Tell me your Black Friday secrets!
